How Do You Make A US Apple iTunes Account?
Start Apple iTunes & make sure your account is signed out.
Scroll down to the bottom of iTunes. There will be a little Australian flag (or the flag of whatever country you are in). Click on the flag icon.
Look for the United States flag icon & click on that
Next, find anything free within iTunes. This could be a an App, an Audiobook, a TV Show episode, etc. For these instructions, we will find a free TV Show episode.
At the top left corner of iTunes, you will see a drop down menu. Click it and select TV Shows.
Next, look for Free TV Episodes in the menu links on the right side and click on that.
Click into any of the shows listed in this Free TV Episode section.
Find any TV Episode that has a Get button next to it and click that Get button.
The iTunes Log in Box will appear. Click Create New Apple ID
Enter an email address to use as your Apple ID. Make sure it is NOT associated with any other iTunes account. Also, make sure that it is a .com, NOT a .com.au, .co.uk, or silimar. Create and Verify a password. Make sure the Country drop down is set to United States. Click the checkbox for terms and conditions. Finally, click Continue
Enter your personal information & create the security questions. Click the Continue button
Click the Payment Option labeled None.
Enter a United States Address. You will want to use an address in North Dakota. Currently, North Dakota is the only state that does not charge tax on internet goods. This is subject to change as laws change. Click Continue
You will be prompted to look for an email with a verification code sent from Apple
Go to the inbox of your email address to retrieve the verification code.
Copy the verification code, go back to iTunes, & Paste the verification code in the box. Click Verify.
The Account will then be created. Now you need to fund it using iTunes gift cards.
Go back to the iTunes Store & click the Redeem link.
Enter the Password for your US iTunes account.
Enter the iTunes card code in the box, then click Redeem. Done! Your account is funded!
